About Trunk Bay
Trunk Bay is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and has an underwater snorkeling trail. Other facilities include a bathhouse, snack bar, souvenir shop and snorkel gear rentals. Lifeguards are on duty daily. These facilities close at 4:00 PM.
World famous Trunk Bay beach got its name from the Leatherback turtle which once nested there in abundance. The Danes claimed the turtle resembled a large leather trunk.
